• In July 1947 the group deployed to Muroc Air Force Base, California to conduct accelerated service tests with new F-84Bs prior to acceptance.
• As the F-84E model was still a brand-new aircraft, the 31st FEW was charged with performing accelerated service test on them.
• The 2-0-2 was the first airplane subjected to the CAA's then new'Accelerated Service Test', introduced May 15, 1947.
• After receiving new engines, radio and oxygen equipment, 140312 was transferred to Wright Field near Dayton, Ohio and delivered to the Accelerated Service Test Maintenance Squadron ( ASTMS ) of the Flight Test Division in July 1946.
• *1959  Lockheed F-104A-5-LO Starfighter, 56-742, c / n 183-1030, to General Electric Flight Test, June : 1957, performed accelerated service tests on J79 engine.
